The road to the Sani Pass, from the South African town of Underberg to Lesotho. This is not a journey for the faint hearted as the road is unmade, unmetaled, more potholes than track, very steep with blind bends and only accesible on 4 x 4 vehicles and then only on a good day. However, the views are second to none. This is the view after crossing the border from SA into Lesotho with the Twelve Apostles mountains in the background. When at the highest point, there is a bar - the highest pub in Africa at 9445 ft above sea level.

The Englishmen's Grave near Bushmans Kloof in The Cederburg Wilderness, just off the R 364 and the dirt road to Wupperthal. This is the last resting place of Lieutenant Graham Vinicombe Winchester Clowes who was killed in action near this place on 30 January 1901 during the Boer War. A poignant reminder of, 'that in some corner of a foreign field there is forever England'.

Thought to be thousands of years old, the rock art on the Sevilla Rock Art Trail in the Cederburg Wilderness. Only 20 rand to do the 8km trail you pay in a shack which also offers rather rough self catering accommodation. The trail is in a very spartan area of brush wilderness and semi desert with very hot weather. The trail is well marked but would not recommend a night visit.
